    Paul Katan and Roxanne Hull will present on worksite health promotion in the Quad Cities. The presentation will highlight resources for local employers to develop and maintain successful worksite health programs. They will also present on two recognition opportunities: the Healthy Arizona Worksites Program; and a forthcoming Quad Cities healthy business initiative.

     

     

    About our presenters:

    Paul Katan is the Health Policy Manager for Yavapai County Community Health Services. Working as part of the Health in Arizona Policy Initiative (HAPI) Paul partners with local business, government and schools to improve health outcomes through supportive policies and systems change. Paul draws on over-a-decade of experience in community health promotion, focused primarily on healthy community design. Paul’s current projects include: partnering with local government to support health through transportation and municipal planning; as well collaborating with local Ag stakeholders to increase access to and availability of nutritious food. Paul holds a Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education from Arizona State University and a Master of Administration in Health Sciences from Northern Arizona University.

     

    Roxanne Hull is the Community Outreach Coordinator for Yavapai Regional Medical Center (YRMC).  Roxanne partners with community members and organizations to assess and meet community health education needs. She publishes HealthConnect—YRMC’s monthly calendar of health promotion events, presentations and classes. Roxanne has also grown YRMC’s Speakers Bureau; having provided over 180 presentations in 2014. She currently participates in: the Senior Suicide Prevention Coalition, the Yavapai County Community Health Improvement Planning Partners, the Quad Cities Healthy Worksites group and the Healthy Living Coalition.  Roxanne is a native Arizonan, residing in the Quad Cities area since she was 3 years old. She is a veteran, having served in the US Navy.

     

     

    The Lunch is a Thai Teriyaki Glazed Pork Loin with Roasted Red Potatoes and Seasonal Vegetable
