The National/State Opioid Epidemic, what is it and what does it mean to us all?
Topics will include:
- What are the Opium based drugs and how do they work? Legal and illegal.
- History of opioids. How did we get where we are now and what have the effects been on business and industry from an HR prospective.
- A word about marijuana.
- The Serial Killer in our communities, Fentanyl. What is its action on the body? Where does it come from and how is it seen in our communities?
- What can we all do to help?
- Signs and symptoms of an Over Dose and the first aid methods used to save lives. Naloxone and Narcan, including practical demonstrations.
About the presenter:
Ron Anderson
Bachelor of Science in International Business and Trade.
Trained in Counter Espionage in the armed forces.
26 years employment in the professional pharmaceutical and medical clinical laboratory industries.
11 years affiliation with two Arizona Sheriff's Departments as a Special Deputy.
Certified First Responder medic. Taught emergency first response for years for the Red Cross and law enforcement.
17 years as a volunteer officer with Yavapai County Emergency Management.
