    THERE ARE ONLY 10 SEATS LEFT for BSA223 Human Resources Management (CRN 39274).  That is the Yavapai College course that is being offered in partnership with PAHRA to meet the needs of members who might have joined the annual PAHRA study group simply to learn more about HR.  Come enjoy convenient online modules to update your HR knowledge and participate in engaging in-person (optional) sessions, several hosted by certified PAHRA members.  Wednesdays 5:30 - 7:00 pm, October 19-December 12, 2015.  Live on the Prescott Campus, Streamed live ITV to the Clarkdale Campus.  Check the YC and/or the PAHRA websites for more information.  Contact     cherylmoreno@msn.com  if you have questions or would like to discuss scholarship assistance (the first 5 PAHRA members who offer registration documentation for the class and contact Cheryl will be eligible for a $100 scholarship to cover the cost of the book).
     
    Applications for the 2015 SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP Certification Exam are being accepted through October 16, 2015 for the winter testing window Dec. 1, 2015 - February 15, 2016.  PAHRA will NOT be hosting a study group this year, but there are a number of things available to help you be successful.  See the SHRM and/or the PAHRA websites for more information about self-study or instructor led programs.  Academic and Certification scholarships for HR Professionals are available from the SHRM Foundation (see attached flyer).  Contact     cherylmoreno@msn.com  if you have questions or would like to discuss scholarship assistance (the first PAHRA member who offers registration documentation for the exam and contacts Cheryl will be eligible for a $750 scholarship to cover the cost of the SHRM Learning System). 

    PAHRA Board nomination period opens soon and will run through August 4.  Voting will be held September 1 - 18.  Please consider serving the organization in a board position. Past President, Jacque Holladay summed it up nicely:  “I wholeheartedly encourage each member of PAHRA to consider serving the organization in some manner, it will provide you with personal and career growth far beyond what can be gained from simply attending the bi-monthly workshops/meetings.” Watch for more details!
